UPDATE – Antiochian Greek Fundraisers

Dear Friend,

Now that the Holiday Season has passed, and we are all slowly getting back to our daily routines. Please consider taking a moment to support Antiochian Hellenism. 

Since the launch of our two Fundraisers (GreekDNA and Antiochianhistory), 13 days ago. We are proud to announce that our call for funds is being answered.  At the moment, GreekDNA has raised 128 Euros while AntiochianHistory has raised $950. 

However, we still need your help. The chance to prove the Hellenic origins of the Levantine Rûm is before us, and we need you to act now. No donation is too small, and each dollar gets us closer to unlocking the true origins of the Levantine Rûm.

1. PROJECT GreekDNA

For the first time, a DNA test will be done on one of our Syrian Rûm supporters. It is our hope that he will be the first of many supporters to come forward and take such a DNA test. Thus, proving the first public look at the genetic make-up of the Levantine Rûm.

2. PROJECT ANTIOCHIAN HISTORY

“The Origins of the Orthodox Christians in Syria and Palestina” was written in 1909 by historian Paul Carolides. It serves as one of the only books written on the origins of the Rûm in modern times, before the rise of Arabism. As such, it is a treasure trove of unbiased information locked away in Katharevousa Greek language. It is our plan to translate this book into English, and then Arabic. Both versions being made available for free online.
